PROF. DR. ZÜHTÜ ARSLAN, PRESIDENT OF THE CONSTITUTIONAL COURT OF TURKIYE, DELIVERED A LECTURE AT IBU
The President of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Turkiye, Prof. Dr. Zühtü Arslan, delivered a guest lecture at the International Balkan University on March 14, 2024. His lecture was on the topic ”Why Do We Need Constitutional Justice?” and drew a wide audience, including the former President of the Constitutional Court of North Macedonia, Mr. Salih Murati, Rector of IBU, Prof. Dr. Lütfi Sunar, representatives of governmental and nongovernmental institutions, businesses, media, academic staff, and students.
Professor Lutfi Sunar, the Rector of International Balkan University, commenced the event with heartfelt gratitude towards our distinguished guests, including the President of the Constitutional Court of Türkiye and the former President of the Macedonian Constitutional Court, Sali Murati. Their presence underscored the occasion's significance.

The highlight of the event was a captivating lecture by Professor Zühtü Arslan on "Why do we need constitutional justice?" His insightful discourse delved into the essence of constitutionality, justice, and their intertwined significance. Professor Arslan illuminated crucial aspects such as the separation of powers, the Constitutional Law of Türkiye, the dynamics of amendments, and the paramount importance of justice in constitutional law.
Following the lecture, an engaging session ensued where students and guests interacted with Professor Arslan, delving deeper into the subject matter through thought-provoking questions and discussions.
