Second-year students from the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences embarked on a field visit and attended a clinical lecture at the premises of the National Bank of the Republic of North Macedonia (NBRM) on Thursday, April 4th, 2024.

This session was conducted as part of the 'Macroeconomics' course instructed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Luljeta Sadiku and Asst. Kristina Velickovska.

The clinical lecture was delivered by Mr. Gani Ramadani, MSc, Deputy Director of the Monetary Policy and Research Department. The topic addressed was 'Inflation: A Global Challenge for Central Banks'.

During the clinical lecture, students gained practical insights into the complexities of inflation as a significant global challenge faced by central banks.

They were informed that the central bank strives to maintain price stability and foster sustainable economic growth through the implementation of prudent monetary policies and the establishment of clear inflation targets.

The lecture was enriched with factual data illustrating trends and fluctuations in inflation over time, including EU countries, Balkan region and North Macedonia.

Following the clinical teaching session, students had the opportunity to explore the museum of the National Bank.
