Faculty of Art and Design takes part in the creation of the largest mural in Southeastern Europe

In a groundbreaking collaboration that bridges the gap between education and community engagement, the Faculty of Art and Design in 2021 has joined forces with a leading Cevahir Shopping Mall in Skopje to produce a monumental piece of public art.

This partnership culminated in the creation of the largest mural in Southeastern Europe, a breathtaking canvas that sprawls across the vibrant heart of the city, capturing the imagination of all who pass by.

Under the guidance of prof. Laze Tripkov, students from the Faculty of Art and Design, have poured their talent, passion, and countless hours into this project, making it not just a work of art, but a testament to the power of mentorship and creative collaboration. This mural is more than just paint on a wall; it is a story of dedication, inspiration, and the indomitable spirit of creativity that defines our community.

The project, seamlessly blending academic excellence with real-world application, serves as a beacon of inspiration, showcasing the boundless possibilities that emerge when educational institutions and commercial entities come together for a common purpose. It is a celebration of artistic achievement and a symbol of communal pride, enriching the cultural tapestry of Skopje and setting a new standard for public art in the region.

The winning solution was made by Lara Marinkovic, second prize won Eda Rada, third prize winner was Fleta Selmani and honourable mentions won Simge Sezair and Eldan Alomerovic.
