This initiative is designed to recognize and reward the hard work and achievements of our most outstanding doctoral candidates. What is the Ph.D. Scholarship?

The Ph.D. Scholarship at IBU is a prestigious award aimed at doctoral students who demonstrate exceptional academic success and commitment to their research. The scholarship provides financial support by offering significant tuition fee reductions for the duration of the doctoral program.

Who Can Apply?

Eligibility for the Ph.D. Scholarship is determined based on several criteria:
- Acceptance to a Doctoral Program: Applicants must be accepted into one of IBU]'s doctoral programs.
- Academic Excellence: Candidates must meet high academic standards as specified below.
- Employment Status: Applicants must certify that they are not engaged in any form of employment during the tenure of their doctoral program, ensuring full commitment to their studies and research.

Application Requirements

1. Grade Point Average (GPA):
- An undergraduate GPA of at least 8.00 out of 10.00.
- A master's degree GPA of at least 9.00 out of 10.00.
2. Grade Conversion: For students coming from institutions with different grading systems, the Scholarship Committee has established a conversion table to ensure fairness in the evaluation process.

Scholarship Benefits

- Tuition Fee Discount:
- For programs with 5-9 students, the top-ranked student will receive a 50% tuition fee scholarship.
- For programs enrolling ten or more students, the highest-achieving student will be awarded a full tuition scholarship.

The recipients of these scholarships are selected by the Scholarship Committee based on overall academic performance and adherence to the specific success criteria outlined for each program and semester.

How to Apply

Prospective candidates should first secure admission to one of IBU's doctoral programs. Following acceptance, eligible students will be considered for the Ph.D. Scholarship based on the criteria mentioned above. Applicants may need to submit additional documentation to certify their employment status and academic credentials as part of the scholarship evaluation process.
