The International Balkan University’s Faculty of Law marks the continued success of its Legal Clinic, established in August 2022 to provide law students with practical experience while delivering essential legal services to underserved populations. The clinic effectively bridges the gap between academic learning and real-world application, empowering students to confront the complexities of the legal system.
Offering free legal information and advice, the clinic serves vulnerable groups, including socially disadvantaged individuals, women victims of violence, and marginalized communities such as the Roma and international migrants. By addressing critical legal issues in social rights, consumer protection, criminal law, and EU foreigner law, the clinic plays a vital role in promoting access to justice and advocating for social equity.
Led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Ebru Ibish, the clinic emphasizes experiential learning, allowing students to develop crucial skills in legal research, writing, and client interviewing while fostering a deep understanding of professional ethics and advocacy. This hands-on approach not only enriches their educational experience but also prepares them for impactful careers in law.
The Legal Clinic remains committed to empowering individuals with the knowledge and resources needed to navigate legal challenges, reinforcing its mission to uphold justice and equality for all. Through its ongoing efforts, the clinic continues to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those it serves.
