The panel on "The Harmonization of ECtHR Jurisprudence and the Turkish Constitutional Court’s Jurisprudence," organized by the International Balkan University (IBU), attracted great interest from students.
The event, organized by the Legal Clinic, provided law students and academics with the opportunity to deeply explore the differences and similarities between the case law of the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) and the Turkish Constitutional Court.
During the panel, Mr. Selahaddin Menteş, a member of the Turkish Constitutional Court, discussed the harmonization between the case law of the ECtHR and Türkiye's judicial system, sharing important developments in the field of law with the participants.
Mr. Menteş's insights provided a profound perspective, especially on critical issues such as fundamental rights and the rule of law.
The panel was successfully moderated by Asst. Prof. Dr. Ebru İbiş, a faculty member at IBU Law School and the Coordinator of the Legal Clinic.
This panel not only provided law students and professionals with theoretical knowledge but also offered valuable information on international legal norms and practices.
