IBU Students Will Not Be Affected by the YÖK Equivalence Change!

The amendment to the YÖK Equivalence Regulation published in the Official Gazette No. 32490 dated March 15, 2024, in Türkiye, does not negatively affect our students registered at IBU. Equivalence procedures for our existing students will be carried out by the rules and regulations valid on their registration to our University. There is no YKS success rating-ranking requirement for our current students. Therefore, there is no forfeiture for our students currently registered at our University.

According to the "New YÖK Equivalence Regulation" announced in the Turkish Official Gazette on March 15, 2024, student candidates who will newly enroll in the Department of Dentistry and Department of Law must have met the minimum success rating-ranking requirement of the relevant department in the central placement exam-YKS held by ÖSYM in Türkiye.

Accordingly, IBU students are not subject to this new regulation. This regulation will only apply to newly registered prospective students.
