"Empowering Voices: IBU FLAW Students Speak Out for Women's History Month at Fairleigh Dickinson University"

IBU FLAW students participated in a discussion organized at Fairleigh Dickinson University (NJ, US) marking Women's History Month. Nisa Yagmur Akseki, Yagmur Kirsanlioglu, Seher Mustafa, and Malike Denizcan Dizdar were the key speakers in this event, along with FDU students Kayla Brennan and Julia Matczak.

They shared their opinions about the challenges that women and girls face with regard to the educational system, the workplace, and overall society. Through this discussion, students tackled this issue in a global context, as a persisting challenge but also a topic that unites women and men from all corners of the world in a fight for equality and a more just world.

Students dived into the empowering collection of personal stories and embarked on a journey of inspiration and female solidarity in the world of education and academia. The event was organized in the framework of the joint course in Comparative Constitutional Law, which strengthens international transatlantic partnerships in higher education. Students were mentored by FDU Prof. Dr. Madelyn Ferrans and IBU Asst. Leposava Ognjanoska Stavrovska (a PhD candidate).
