RECTOR SUNAR AND IBU STUDENTS VISIT STRAY ANIMAL SHELTER

As the Counselling and Psychological Services (CAPS) team, we commemorated a significant occasion on World Stray Animals Day.

Accompanied by our esteemed Rector Prof. Dr. Lütfi Sunar and the participation of Wellbeing Center Director, the respected Professor Katerina Mitevska Petrusheva, along with a dedicated group of our animal-loving students, on 04 April we embarked on a visit to the local animal shelter.

There, we engaged in supporting street dogs, sharing moments of joy through play, and extending our help through food donations. This visit underscored the Student Wellbeing Center's (SWC) commitment to nurturing the welfare of all living beings, not merely humans.

At CAPS, we go beyond offering psychological counseling and support services; we highlight the critical importance of social sensitivity and empathy. This endeavor aimed to assist our students in enhancing their emotional intelligence and evolving into more empathetic individuals.

The time spent with animals served not only to diminish stress and elevate moods but also to fortify the connections within our community. Moreover, it was an opportunity to elevate consciousness regarding animal rights and welfare.

This initiative stands as a testament to our university's pledge to uphold its social responsibilities. Within the SWC, we are devoted to orchestrating such events to aid in the holistic development of our students and to nurture a more wholesome society.

Through these endeavors, we have once again showcased the potent ability of our students to instigate positive transformations within society.
