IBU students participated in the UN International Model United Nations simulation

IBU FLAW Students & MUN student club members Malike Denizcan Dizdar, Ilknur Topcuoglu, Gonzalo Gardon Pons, and Erdem Baran Alkan participated in UN International Model United Nations simulation, organized in Skopje at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of North Macedonia.

MUN simulations are excellent tools for hands-on learning as they replicate real-world diplomatic scenarios, providing students with firsthand experiences of international relations.

This year's topic was 'Strengthening United Nations Non-Proliferation Efforts: Evaluating and Reinforcing the Role of the Panel of Experts in Monitoring the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK)' through the work of the UN Security Council.

IBU FLAW students engaged in a two-day diplomatic simulation that allowed them to apply theoretical knowledge in a practical setting, fostering a deeper understanding of global affairs.

Malike, Ilknur, Gonzalo, and Erdem showed excellent knowledge of international law and international relations, along with public speaking and negotiating skills.

They were accompanied by FLAW Asst. Leposava Ognjanoska Stavrovska.
