IBU hosted 6th International Staff Week

IBU had the honor of hosting its 6th International Staff Week organized by the International Relations Office.

Sixty academic and administrative staff from 38 universities across 12 countries came together for a week filled with knowledge-sharing and networking opportunities.

The event began with an exciting Opening Ceremony featuring speeches from esteemed guests, including Prof. Dr. Lütfi Sunar, Rector of International Balkan University, and Marko Gjorgievski, Director of the National Agency for European Educational Programmes and Mobility. Erasmus+ opportunities were highlighted by Prof. Dr. Snezana Bilic, IBU's Erasmus+ Institutional Coordinator and Vice-Rector for Projects and Research.

Our guests had the opportunity to network by promoting their universities to IBU and foreign staff, presenting their universities to IBU students at the university fair, and exploring IBU through a Campus tour.

The following days were filled with insightful guest lectures covering various topics. Students even had the opportunity to participate in Turkish Sign Language and Python for Civil Engineering workshops.

Our guests also took part in panel discussions on Economics, Architecture, and Political Science.

In between sessions, participants enjoyed exploring Skopje's rich culture with a city tour,  the Matka Canyon and Cave Vrelo, ending with a visit to the beautiful city of Ohrid.

The event wrapped up with engaging meetings between administrative and academic staff, fostering collaborations and sharing best practices.

The Closing Ceremony saw heartfelt remarks from Prof. Dr. Snezana Bilic, along with the presentation of Erasmus+ Certificates and a memorable group photo.
