A Summer School was organized by the Securities and Exchange Commission of the Republic of North Macedonia and the International Balkan University, supported by Halkbank AD Skopje

The Securities and Exchange Commission of the Republic of North Macedonia, in cooperation with the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences - International Balkan University, held a Summer School for the first time from the 3rd of June to the 7th of June at the IBU campus.

This event was intended for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd cycle students and young professionals, focusing on the theme "Secure Success: Introduction to Financial Markets and Securities".

This 5-day program of the Summer School, organized as a series of workshops, included lectures with presentations delivered by 13 experienced professionals and experts in the form of practical sessions, and participants had the opportunity to consult with them in the field of financial markets.

The aim was to acquaint participants with the latest trends and practices in the field of financial markets, investment instruments, and regulatory frameworks in the capital market.

Some of the topics covered included:

Types of Securities, Characteristics, and uses of various financial instruments, Compliance in financial institutions, Derivative trading platforms, Over-the-counter markets, Trading strategies under different market conditions, Hedging strategies, and Risk management tools and practices.

We would like to thank the Securities and Exchange Commission for their cooperation in the realization of this 5-day event, which will undoubtedly serve as a foundation for many future joint projects, as well as Halkbank AD Skopje for enabling all participants to attend this summer school free of charge.".
