Mr. Gabriel Gualano de Godoy, the Representative of UNHCR in North Macedonia, accompanied by his delegation, paid a visit to the International Balkan University (IBU) Campus.

The UNHCR North Macedonia delegation had a meeting with Prof. Dr. Lütfi Sunar, the Rector of IBU.

During the meeting, Rector Sunar was accompanied by the Vice-Rectors Prof. Dr. Snezana Bilic, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mevludin Ibish, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Seyhan Murtezan Ibrahimi.

In the scope of the meeting, cooperation between two institutions was discussed, specifically in providing special scholarship opportunities to refugees in the following academic year among others.

Also, Vice-Rectors Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mevludin Ibish and Asst. Prof. Dr. Seyhan Murtezan Ibrahimi informed the guests about the opportunities and facilities of the IBU.

As a result of this visit, IBU pledged to provide 5 full scholarships for refugee students in North Macedonia for the academic year 2024/2025.
