Prof. Dr. Snezana Bilic was a guest lecturer at the Summer School Sail & Learn in Croatia

Prof. Dr. Snezana Bilic, the Vice Rector for Research and Projects, was a guest lecturer at the Summer School Sail & Learn, organized by the University of Applied Sciences PAR - Rijeka, Croatia 

 

Prof. Bilic delivered a series of lectures related to the Green Businesses and Impact of Climate Changes on the Tourism Business and Related Industries in front of more than 50 students and entrepreneurs coming from different countries: China, Germany, Estonia, France, Slovenia and Croatia. She was also a member of the International Committee for evaluation of the best project idea developed by the participants' teams.

 

The Sustainable Tourism and Industry 4.0 Sail & Learn Summer School was an intensive 7-day boot camp, organized by PAR University of Applied Science, a member of the European Alliance of Dual Studies Universities (EU4Dual).

 

The Summer School aims to increase the entrepreneurial mindset of students while providing them with new entrepreneurial and team competences, sustainability lenses and tools, international insights, and industry perspectives.

 

Students were engaged within intercultural teams and were guided toward understanding of intersections between entrepreneurship, innovation, and sustainability in international and technological contexts.

 

Interdisciplinary international students were teamed with Croatian student-entrepreneurs to bring new perspectives, practice problem solving and product-market analysis. The aim was to apply innovative thinking in support of sustainability within diverse economic and political landscapes. A blend of lectures, teamwork sprints, social activities, and industry inputs provided a full and varied program.

 

Networking and intercultural exchange was a key motivation for students. After successful completion of the program, participants received a certificate worth 5 ECTS.
