IBU hosted the representatives from the Simulation Centre from Ljubljana, Slovenia

Prof. Dr. Lutfi Sunar, the Rector of IBU, Asst. Prof. Dr. Seyhan Murtezan Ibrahimi, the Vice-Rector, Professor Valentina Goricanec, the Dean of the Vocational Medical School, Mr. Metin Celil, the Secretary-General, and representatives from the Vocational Medical School of IBU had a meeting with Uroš Zafošnik and Tanja Kocjan Stjepanovič, the representatives from the Simulation Centre from Ljubljana, Slovenia, which is part of SESAM (society of simulation centers all over the world).

 

Representatives from the Slovenian simulation center visited the IBU Simulation Center which is an important part of the IBU’s Vocational Medical School and confirmed that IBU’s simulation center is the best equipped with simulation equipment as well as good educators in this region.

 

For the Slovenian representatives was very important that teaching skills in the university’s simulation center are done by nurses and midwives which is the most important standard according to European Union law for regulated professions.

 

Rector Sunar and the representatives from Slovenia agreed that this kind of simulation center deserves proper accreditation and validation.

 

They agreed on the need for further collaboration and another meeting as soon as possible to establish a simulation center that will be positioned higher on the World map for Simulation centers.
