In cooperation with the Housing and Tenants Organization, IBU Faculty of Law Assistant Leposava Ognjanoska Stavrovska, together with Asst. Omer Ulutas and Asst. Entoni Miska, organized a focus group with IBU students from abroad as main participants.
The focus group was intended to examine the status and position of foreign students, in order to identify specific needs and challenges with regard to their daily life in North Macedonia.
It was led by HTO experts Emilija Dukovski and Aleksandar Sofronijoski, who put special attention on the living conditions in the country, housing options and approach by the institutions in providing the legally guaranteed rights and services.
This activity was organized in the framework of a project supported by the European Union and implemented by this civil society organization (Housing and Tenants Organization) that aims to examine the status of foreigners who reside in the country on various basis - primarily working or studying in MKD, in order to improve the living conditions and practical implementation of their rights. It is part of FOSTER - a joint action of the Balkan Refugee and Migration Council (BRMC) and the Danish Refugee Council, to protect and promote the fundamental rights of foreigners in the Western Balkans.
