For the first time in the role of Lead University - International Balkan University (IBU) has been awarded a grant from the European Commission for the newest innovative project, Skills Enrichment for Adaptive Leadership in the New Reality (SEAL-NR).

In collaboration with Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design, Politechnika Warszawska, Baltijas Starptautiska Akademija, Institute of Social and Economic Initiatives, Mingachevir State University, and Kyiv Education, Training and Youth Centre, we will strive to achieve a unified mission of empowering young leaders and equipping them with the skills necessary to thrive in an ever-evolving global landscape.

The IBU team leading this project is composed of Prof. Dr. Snezana Bilic as the project coordinator, Asst. Prof. Dr. Andrijana Bojadjievska Danevska, Asst. Ceneta Telak Durmishi, and Asst. Leposava Ognjanovska Stavrova.

The core component of SEAL-NR will be synchronous and asynchronous virtual exchange (VE) technologies to cultivate 21st-century skills among educators and young people. This will enable them to connect, share experiences, and collaborate across borders in real-time.

This digital bridge will foster mutual understanding and facilitate the development of adaptive leadership competencies, building a robust foundation for sustainable impact across regions. More precisely, this project will target 250 tutors and 2,500 young individuals aged 16-30 from diverse socio-economic backgrounds in North Macedonia, Poland, Latvia, Ukraine, and Azerbaijan.

Through this initiative, IBU enriches its portfolio and deepens its expertise in executing the European Commission’s funded projects. Additionally, it adds value to IBU’s mission of fostering innovation, enhancing educational opportunities, and promoting international collaboration.
