Digital Skills Training Program for Turkish Language Teachers Launched

The International Balkan University (IBU), in collaboration with the Ministry of National Education of the Republic of Türkiye and the Education Development Bureau of North Macedonia, successfully launched the "Digital Skills Training Program" for Turkish and Turkish Language and Literature teachers in North Macedonia.

 

The inaugural session, held online on Monday, December 02, 2024, marks the beginning of a comprehensive five-module training designed to enhance the digital competencies of educators in the region. The program aims to equip teachers with modern technological tools and methodologies, enabling them to adapt to the evolving educational landscape and deliver more effective, engaging, and inclusive lessons.

 

IBU Vice-Rector Asst. Prof. Dr. Seyhan Murtezani Ibrahimi, and TLC Coordinator Asst. Prof. Dr. Özlem Kurt, attended the opening session. In her address to the participants, Vice-Rector Ibrahimi emphasized the importance of digital skills in modern education. She also highlighted the university’s commitment to professional development initiatives and expressed confidence in the program's potential to transform classroom practices.

 

The training sessions will cover essential topics such as integrating digital tools into teaching, online classroom management, and the use of digital platforms to enhance student learning experiences. Participants will also have the opportunity to engage in interactive activities and collaborate with peers to develop innovative teaching strategies.

 

The program has been met with enthusiasm by teachers, who expressed their appreciation for the initiative’s potential to contribute to their professional development and improve the quality of Turkish language education in North Macedonia.

 

IBU remains committed to fostering academic excellence and cross-cultural collaboration through initiatives like this. The next sessions of the training will continue in the coming days, with the final module set to conclude in late December 2025.
