Asst. Prof. Dr. Marija Miloshevska Janakieska and Asst. Arbresha Ibrahimi, Ph.D., from the Department of Architecture at the Faculty of Engineering, International Balkan University, participated in the prestigious 5th International Congress on Architecture and Cultural Heritage in Tourism, held in Alanya, Türkiye, from November 28-30, 2024.
The Congress, hosted by Alanya Alaattin Keykubat University in collaboration with several esteemed universities and organizations, served as a platform for groundbreaking research and innovative discussions.
Asst. Prof. Dr. Marija Miloshevska Janakieska presented her research on "Comparative Analysis of Sustainable Façade Materials for Hotel Design in Macedonia," while Asst. Arbresha Ibrahimi, Ph.D., shared her insights on "Rethinking Urban Heritage: Transforming the Skopje Aqueduct into a Cultural and Educational Catalyst."
In addition to their impactful presentations, both researchers engaged in valuable discussions and meetings with coordinators from the Faculty of Architecture and the Faculty of Tourism, paving the way for future collaborations and academic growth.
The congress also included a professional visit to the fascinating archaeological site of Syedra, enriching their understanding of cultural heritage in tourism.
