IBU Launches Human Rights Month with Workshop on Children's Rights

The IBU’s Legal Clinic, under the expert coordination of Asst. Prof. Dr. Ebru Ibish, inaugurates its activities in commemoration of Human Rights Day.

 

The entire month of December has been designated as "Human Rights Month," with a specific focus on the following topics:

- Children's rights

- Fundamental human rights

- The intersection of artificial intelligence and human rights

- Digitalization and human rights within the public sector

 

The workshop held today was dedicated to the critical topic of Children's Human Rights. Throughout the event, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nikola emphasized the importance of protecting the rights of vulnerable populations, offering valuable insights into the ethical and legal responsibilities of society. Asst. Prof. Dr. Ebru Ibish provided an in-depth discussion on the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, underscoring the significance of restorative justice in addressing violations.

 

Additionally, Asst. Seher Mustafa presented a comprehensive analysis of the root causes of juvenile criminality, shedding light on its multifaceted origins. Asst. Aleksandra Ilieska offered a thorough examination of the phenomenology of juvenile criminal behavior, contributing a critical perspective on the behaviors and social contexts that drive youth crime.

 

The contributions of all speakers were highly commendable, reflecting a deep commitment to advancing understanding in the vital field of human rights.
