Understanding Hate Speech: A Multi-Dimensional Panel on Its Criminological, Penal, and Psychological Aspects at IBU

International Balkan University (IBU) proudly hosted the enlightening panel titled "Criminological, Penal, and Psychological Aspects of Hate Speech", a remarkable collaborative initiative by the Balkan Youth Club and the Psychology and Education Club.

 

The event was met with a remarkable turnout, underscoring the importance of the topic and the strong engagement from the university community.

 

Asst. Prof. Dr. Ebru Ibish, from the Faculty of Law, offered a profound analysis of the penal implications of hate speech, highlighting its legal complexities. Meanwhile, Asst. Sumea Ramadani from the Psychology Department delivered a thought-provoking exploration of the psychological dimensions, shedding light on the deeper emotional and cognitive impacts of such behavior.

 

This insightful and meticulously organized panel was expertly moderated by Asst. Ömer Ulutaş from the Faculty of Law, whose leadership ensured a seamless and dynamic flow of discussion.

 

At the conclusion of the program, certificates were presented to both the distinguished speakers and the engaged participants.
