Short Description: The main theme of the 2024 International Conference on Law and Politics is “Contemporary Legal and Political Trends in the World”. Recent global challenges including the Russia-Ukraine war, Israel-Palestine war, the Covid-19 pandemic, climate change, and the migrant crisis have impacted the socio-political life of countries in the Western Balkans. Other challenges such as the reimagining of education in the digital age, the rise of AI, challenges to democracy and the rule of law, the rise of new global powers to the East, as well as the potential for a new global financial crisis, have increased the interest and debates among the general public, policymakers, and scholars on proposals for new policy strategies to tackle issues that have vital security, legal, and economic implications. The 2024 International Conference on Law and Politics aims to propose new insights that can address these challenges by bringing together distinguished scholars and professionals around the world.
